Privacy Policy

1. Information We DO NOT Collect

We have built this App with a strict “no data collection” policy. We do not collect, upload, share, or sell any of the following:

• Your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, or any personally identifiable information (PII).
• Device identifiers (e.g., IMEI, Android ID, OAID, MAC address, serial number, Google Advertising ID).
• Precise or coarse location (GPS / network‑based location).
• Contacts, SMS, call logs, or calendar entries.
• Photos, videos, documents, or media files (unless you explicitly select a local file for an App function, which stays on your device).
• IoT device telemetry, logs, usage history, or sensor readings — all data shown in the App remains on your device or within your local network.
• Crash logs, analytics, or performance tracking data.
• Any behavioural or profiling information.

Summary: From installation to uninstallation, the App sends zero personal or device data to any external server (including our own backend — we have no backend servers that collect data).

2. IoT Local Control & Permissions (Bluetooth / Wi-Fi / Network)

Because this App is built to communicate with IoT devices, it may request the following permissions solely for local device control. No data leaves your local environment:

• Bluetooth – Used to discover and communicate with nearby BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) IoT devices. Bluetooth communication stays between your phone and the IoT device. We never upload any device identifiers or pairing information.
• Wi-Fi / Network access – Used to send commands to IoT devices on the same local network (e.g., HTTP, MQTT over LAN). The App may also check for firmware updates via anonymous, identifier‑free requests. No device info or personal data is attached to these requests.
• Nearby devices (Android 12+) – Required for scanning and connecting to Bluetooth peripherals without deriving location data. This is used exclusively for device pairing and control.

All commands, configuration settings, and device states are processed locally or within your home/office network. We do not operate any cloud that ingests your IoT data.

3. No Third‑Party SDKs or Trackers

The App does not integrate any analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking SDKs (including but not limited to Firebase, Google Analytics, Facebook SDK, Amplitude, Mixpanel, or Crashlytics). Consequently, no third party receives any user or device data from the App.

Zero advertisements, zero trackers, zero telemetry.

4. Local Storage & User Preferences

If the App stores preferences (e.g., device nicknames, Wi-Fi credentials for local network, or UI settings), all this information is saved exclusively on your device’s internal storage using standard Android local storage mechanisms (SharedPreferences or local databases). We never sync this data to any cloud, nor do we have the ability to access it remotely. You can clear the App’s data at any time via Android settings.

5. Internet Communication (if applicable)

In some configurations, the App may connect to the internet to download public resources (e.g., device manufacturer icons, open‑source licenses, or time synchronization). These requests are:

• Completely anonymous (no device ID, IP logging, or cookies).
• Strictly functional and not used for tracking or profiling.
• Never combined with any personal data (since no personal data exists).

If you use an entirely offline version of the App, no internet permission is requested and no data transmission ever occurs.

6. Children’s Privacy

Our App does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. We comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), GDPR‑K, and Google Play’s Families Policy requirements. Parents and guardians can feel confident that no behavioral tracking or data collection takes place when children use the App with IoT devices.

7. Data Security & Your Control

Since we do not collect any user data, there is no risk of data breach, unauthorised remote access, or data leakage from our servers. All IoT control remains local. You remain in full control of your personal data, preferences, and device interactions. To delete all App‑related data, simply clear the App’s storage via Android settings or uninstall the App.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect clarifications or legal requirements. Any future version will continue to strictly uphold the “no data collection” principle. If we make material changes, we will notify you via an in‑app notice or when you next update the App. The “Last updated” date at the top of this policy indicates when the latest changes were made.

9. Google Play & Compliance Statement

As required by Google Play Developer Policy, this privacy policy declares that the App does not collect any user or device data. In the Google Play Console “Data safety” section, you must select “No data collected” or “No data shared”. This policy satisfies the requirement for a valid privacy policy URL for all apps, including IoT companion apps.
